Will my jaw return to normal after Botox?

Botox to the masseter muscles can help to narrow the face and help with grinding of the teeth.  Any side effects, such as changes to the smile, should resolve completely over time.  It could take a few months for this to occur however.  

If your smile is off after masseter injection that means you were injected incorrectly. Injecting the masseter muscle should nevertheless produce smile asymmetry. The effects should wear off over 3-4 months, but there is no way to reverse it immediately. Yes, it will return to normal. Generally Botox wears of in ~ 3months but like anything else it can take longer for some people. The good news is that it will completely wear off and return to normal. Before giving up on this treatment, you might be able to achieve the desired results with a lower dose in each side. I would talk to  your doctor about cutting the dose by 40-50%and then be careful to follow post-injection guidelines so the Botox does not migrate. The full effects of Botox will resolve in 3 to 4 months. In some cases it could last up to 6 months. But expect resolution somewhere between the 3rd and 4th month. 

Fortunately, Botox is reversible, so without repeated injections, your masseters should slowly regain to their former strength and size by about 6 months, thus reversing the changes to your lower face that you didn't like.  This is an advantage and disadvantage of Botox.  As always, seek proper consultation before treatment and best of luck!
