Thanksat this stage if anything the pressure and pain should go down unless there is an infection is present !Suggest urgent review by your surgeon!!BwJ TaheryConsultant ENT/Facial Plastic SurgeonChesterUK
Your surgery was very recent. It is certainly normal to have any variety of sensations in the surgical area this soon after surgery. The pressure you feel is most likely from edema or swelling, but it may also be due to cartilage grafting or even sutures dissolving. Also the nose may be numb this soon after surgery and many patients experience that as pressure or feeling swollen. If there is any redness or focal pain that might be due to inflammation or even infection(although the latter is rare). I would recommend contacting your surgeon and getting an evaluation. Hope this helps.
Its best if you contact your surgeon. If the tightening is associated with pain and redness then it may be possible that you have an infection and your surgeon needs to assess this. Hope this helps.
Its best to have the procedures done together. However, now if the side wall swelling of your nose has decreased to near normal levels, it should be safe to have your eyelid surgery. Your surgeon should be able to advise you. Hope this helps.
Thanksany chance you could put some basal view of your nostrils to be able to comment !bwMr J TaheryConsultant ENT/Facial Plastic SurgeonChester
No, 30 is not too old for a rhinoplasty surgery. I have preformed rhinoplasty for patients in their 60s! It's all a matter of what you want and when you are ready to achieve it. The goal of rhinoplasty is for a beautiful nose that appears very natural.
