Went through a FUT Hair transplant on 21st December 2017 and still feeling pain in donor area. Is this normal?

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.Pain after surgery may be different for each patient and it would also depend on your particular surgery.  Contact your doctor.

Hi and thanks for your question.  It sounds completely normal to still have some pain 1 week after a strip was harvested from your scalp.  It should feel better every day.  I use the Smartgraft technique which doesn't require any incision or sutures as individual follicles and follicular units are harvested as opposed to a long strip requiring sutures.  This Smartgraft technique is much easier then the older strip method and the recovery is much less painful.  

Pain is usually not bad after the first night and typically well-controlled by non-narcotic medications such as ibuprofen.  Some discomfort a week later is not unusual, though if it has not gotten any better over the past week and/or is getting worse, there may be an issue that needs to be addressed and a visit to your surgeon would be in order.

Dear it takes 2 weeks to settle down and in some case even more...but pian should be mild and only ditsrub while laying on the back ...
Use some NSAID 

You report that you have pain in the donor area 1 year after strip Hair transplant surgery. Your doctor should examine you for a neuroma associated with one or more of the nerves in the area where the excision occurred. Neoromas are common if the nerve was damaged at the time of the surgery. Generally there is a single spot along the incision that if you tap it with a finger, it will bring on the pain.
