Answer: How much fat can be removed during liposuction Thanks for your question. While you can liposuction several areas at once there is a limit to how much fat can be removed safely. Risks from liposuction increase significantly when over 5 liters of fat are suctioned out. We usually stay below this limit for patient safety. We’ve found that we’re able to achieve dramatic improvements for our patients with 2 to 4 liters of liposuction, depending on their needs.

Answer: Liposuction in Turkey Hello, Thank you for your question and your interest in liposuction in Turkey. The answer to your question depends on various factors. The maximum fat can be collected safely is around 5 liters. But every patient’s own situation is key to determine the amount of fat to be collected. For some patients, mega liposuction can be done and fat over 5 liters could be collected depending on the health situation of the patient. It would be better if I could see you in person and evaluate your circumstances. Kind regards, Dr. Gurel

Answer: Medical regulations in the United States there are no set limits and fat removal or volumes in fat transfer. Florida is the only state that has any type of regulation and that is only in certain outpatient settings. There are general guidelines that some providers choose to follow and others don’t. You’ll find that less regulated countries including developing countries have less regulation in regards to both medical training, competency and how procedures are done. Having volumes removed or added that are beyond safety guidelines represents unnecessary risk and at times poor clinical judgment. It’s not difficult to find medical providers offering both. You can probably find that in any country. I don’t recommend anyone travel for elective surgical procedures. People don’t appreciate the importance of in person consultations, aftercare, the complications actually do happen nor the number of people who would end up needing revisions. When liposuction is done by someone who is a true master at this single procedure then results are typically consistent and of high-quality. Average providers give average results. With an average out, it’s unusual patients will not have at least one or two significant concerns about the outcome. Addressing these via email is a poor substitute have an in person discussion, assessment and plan of action. It’s a free world which is a good thing. All of this neatly false into the envelope of caveat emptor or buyer beware. With the right to choose comes the responsibility and ownership of each person‘s individual decision of what elective surgical procedure to pursue and the consequence of choosing each individual provider.
