3 weeks post BA and an implant feels loose. Do I still have time to fix this?

I had a BA 3 weeks ago. I understand they heal differently however, one of them for the last 3 days feel like the implant moves when i change position. when I look at them they still look the same and the breast doest seems to change position, but I can feel it.. I guess I haven’t rest as much as I should’ve done it, i’m wondering in case this happened(implants moved from pocket) , am I still in time to fix it? maybe minimising my movements and wearing the support bra 24/7?

Its not unusual for each breast to feel different after breast augmentation. I also recommend rest and avoiding strenuous activity for 3 weeks at least after surgery. It takes 6 months for the swellings to diminish and for the breasts to settle into their finals positions. I would recommend seeing your surgeon for an examination to feel more comfortable, but if they looks similar, youre likely in good shape.

Without examining you or seeing photos its difficult to give specific advice. Implants are supposed to move a little bit when you change position so they behave naturally. I'd suggest booking an appointment with your surgeon to be examined if you are worried.

The first few weeks after breast augmentation it is normal to have a number of "strange" sensations.  Sometimes the implants feel hard or swollen, other times your breasts can be itchy, etc.  It is very normal to experience new/unusual sensations and these can include the feeling of the implant moving.  A quick visit to your surgeon should clear up any concern that you may have.

You are still early in the healing process and what you are seeing may not be your final results yet. You may still be experiencing swelling and tissue tightness which causes temporary asymmetry, These resolve over time as your body heals. It would be best to at least wait for 3-4 months before deciding a revision surgery.

At 3 weeks post op, I would strongly urge patience in evaluating any result.  You will go through many changes as your results mature.  Typically as the initial swelling and tightness resolves, movement  sometimes signals the start of a natural result.  Increased pain and swelling with movement would necessitate a formal eval in person with your operating surgeon.  Minimizing activity and bra support are critical to minimize malposition through the first 4-6 weeks postop.

Thanks for your question! It's hard to assess any migration or other issues without photos so you should check in with your surgeon for an in-person assessment. However, I would recommend wearing your bra 24/7 and mitigating activity (I have my patients wear theirs 24/7 and reduce their activity, particularly large arm movements, for the first 6 weeks). Best of luck!

It is hard to determine what may be going on without an examination.  It may simply be that one breast is healing faster than the other, which is typical.  I encourage you to contact your surgeon for an appointment for further evaluation.
