Breast soreness 8 weeks post op. Is this normal?

Hi I’m 8 weeks breast augmentation post op (255cc moderate silicone under muscle) and about a week ago I started feeling some soreness in the lower part of my right breast. The soreness is not severe and not always present. I also feel it more towards the end of the day. Is this normal at this point of recovery? Or could this be a start of an issue that needs to be assessed? I have a message out to my surgeons office but wanted to get other opinions as well. Thank you!

It is not uncommon to experience some discomfort for some time after surgery. As you become more active, muscle soreness may be more frequent. These symtoms almost always resolve with time. I recommend frequent, vigorous massage to help address aches and discomfort, as well as to help the implants settle and soften. Have your surgeon examine you and follow their instructions for postop care.

and thank you for the question. Individual patients are different when it comes
to pain after breast augmentation. Some patients complain of significant
pain/pressure across the chest. When placing the implant under the muscle, we
do an extensive dissection and it is not unusual to have these types of pains/soreness and they usually resolve over time, as your body goes through the healing process. It would best that you reach out to your surgeon for an evaluation.

At eight weeks post op you are still healing.  It would not be unusual for you to be a little sore at the end of the day, especially if it improves by the next morning after rest.  This should continue to improve as healing progresses.  As you have already done, it is always best to contact your surgeon if questions arise.
