Hi @DaniC! Swelling and bruising can take up to two weeks to subside. If you are unhappy with the results after two weeks, you can dissolve the filler with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Thank you for sharing your question. The photo is not a great one for evaluation purposes. It seems to be a bruise, but you will know in 10 days if it does not resolve.Good luck,
Swelling and bruising takes up to 2 weeks to improve. If you are unhappy after, consider reversing the filler with hyaluronidase. Best, Dr. Emer
unfortunately, it may be too early to tell. At this point, it looks like an early bruise - tyndall gives you more of a light bluish hue. Keep some ice on it, you can even use a little of topical arnica montana to help remove some of the bruising if it is bruising. Give it some time to settle down. When in doubt, always go for a re-evaluation with your injector as depending on what technique was used when you were injected as well where within the anatomy of the tear trough it was injected it may give hints as to what is going on longterm. Best of luck.
That appears to be a bruise. However, you will need to wait about one week for any bruising to resolve before knowing if there is also a Tyndall effect. Either way, if you have fullness or discoloration beyond a week return to your physician injector so they can reevaulate you and possibly place some hyaluronidase in that area. I am sorry to say that the picture is too bright and does not show what you want. the Tyndall effect is blue and is due to light scattering back from the hyaluronic acid' a bruise at this point would be purple to dark red. either will go away but to be sure contact your physician
Hi DaniC,Unfortunately, the quality of your photo doesn't show good detail, but from what I can see, it's either a shadow (created by your current swelling), a deep bruise that has not surfaced yet or the tyndall effect. Only time will tell. I wouldn't worry for the first 2 weeks as the product needs to settle during that time and your swelling needs to subside. Either way, it is a reversible product- so please don't be worried about it as it can be easily removed and re-done.-Sherly Soleiman, MD
It's impossible to answer your specific question about the amount of Restylane needed for your under eyes without looking at them. Most people require at least one syringe total (one half per side) to see a significant result, but this varies widely. With dark skin, you may be experiencing an "...
Thank you for sharing your question. Resylane is a great choice for the tear trough. Resylane Silk can be layered on top of the Resylane to achieve even better results. The tear trough is a delicate and tricky area to treat. See an Oculoplastic Surgeon in your area for the procedure.Good luck,
Thank you for your question. Swelling following injections is pretty normal. However, with proper injecting and post-operative care it should never get out of hand. Many of the photos you see on google are most likely people who excessively swell and may have been over injected in the first ...
Thank you for sharing your question. The peeling that you are experiencing will calm down. Apply moisturizer in the meantime. Good luck,
Thank you for sharing your question. You probably can smooth the bump down by pressing on it at this point. I hope this helps. Good luck,
Hi @beccabeauty. I'm sorry you are not happy with your results. Hyaluronic acid facial filler products that were previously injected into an improper tissue plane can be dissolved by hyaluronidase injections. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
