I got restylane lip fillers yesterday and I feel a little pimple in the inside of my lower lip.

Hello, i had lip filler done yesterday the swelling has gone down a lot but i have a tiny white pimple in the inside of my lower lip. i can feel it with my tongue, its barely noticeable I'm so scared that i could be a cold sore, what happens if it is? there is no redness or pain coming from it. its my first time getting lip fillers so I'm really overthinking every detail. also, when can i apply lip balm? Thank you!

Thanks for your question. Having lip injections can cause some slight irregularities after the injection process and can be easily smoothed with manual massage. If something persists beyond several weeks, you ought to go back to your provider and let them evaluate it, and make sure it does not need to be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Best of luck.

You can gently massage the bump and if it is Restylane, it should flatten.  If you have a history of cold sores, see your doctor for a prescription for antiviral medication.  You should take this medication before you have treatments around your mouth to prevent cold sores.

this is not unusual after lip injections at one day.  it is a little bit of Restylane and should go down. massage it a bit to speed things up
