Having minor gastritis should not prevent you from having a BBL. You will want to discuss this with your board certified PS and the PCP who is treating you for the gastritis. You will want to avoid foods having saturated and trans-fats and refined sugars, acidic fruits, onions, alcohol, spicy sauces, spreads, pickles, coffee, tea, and carbonated energy drinks and sodas—they can increase inflammation. Stress and anxiety can also cause flare ups so make sure you understand what the surgery and recovery involve.
Thank you for your question. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Dear dara2019generally speaking, gastritis should have no effect on your BBL surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Your condition does not prevent you from having plastic surgery now. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
You should consider discussing this with your surgeon. I would suggest starting an antacid regime (Pepcid) a few days prior to your procedure and continue taking it for a week to two weeks after (depending on your sleeping positions post op.Dr T
Hi Dara2019, thanks for the question! In most cases, gastritis should not interfere with your ability to under go a BBL. That said the best way to be sure is to consult your physician about your specific needs. Once you begin to think about surgery, I recommend consulting a board certified plastic surgeon who will guide you through your procedure. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
