I have lost almost a stone in weight over the last year through exercise, eating less sugar and greatly reducing alcohol intake to only an occasional drink. While my body is like a 20 year old again I have lost volume in my face especially around the sides of my chin which now have wrinkles! I have 48 and have chronic atopic ezcema which unfortunately most often affects my face Can you recommend any laser treatments or LED therapies for my skin type? I am not keen on getting fillers thanks

Answer: Morpheus8 can help stimulate collagen growth as well as Venus Viva. Pair either or with PRP for enhanced results Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Stimulate Collagen production with Fraxel Lasers One of the best ways to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin is through skin resurfacing with Fraxel lasers. You can either choose Fraxel Re:Pair or Re:Store. Re:Pair is a CO2 ablative laser that has about one week of social downtime. You only need one treatment to get a significant improvement. If you want to reduce the downtime that comes with Fraxel Repair, then choose Fraxel Re:Store, which is nonablative and has minimaldowntime. You will need more than one treatment with this laser to get the same results as you would with Re:Pair. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has experience resurfacing the face with Fraxel to get the most benefits.
