Thank you for your question.  CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatment is very beneficial for making acne scars diminish.  This is done by removing deeper layers of damaged skin and stimulating the regeneration of healthy skin underneath. This treatment is also beneficial for uneven pigmentation, photodamage, fine lines and wrinkles, precancerous spots, and a host of other skin imperfections and benign lesions. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

Hi and thank you for your question! Each of us is born with and predisposed to certain type of skin. Skin with larger pores is likely more oily and more oily skin usually results in not as many wrinkles! So that is a good thing! That said, we can help it appear a bit more smooth and the pores less noticeable over time with a variety of treatments. Enlarged pores can be due to a number of factors including excess oil production, genetics, age, and sun exposure. We find the premier treatment for this is Silk Peel, Clear + Brilliant, PRP combination.
SilkPeel (Or Dermal Infusion) exfoliates the outer dermis of the skin along with infusing anti-oxidants. This gives the skin a clean slate and optimize the depth of the laser.

Clear+Brilliant is a fractionated resurfacing laser, which improves pore size, pigmentation, and texture of the skin. It can be performed on almost any part of the body, but most commonly we treat the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. Most patients experience minimal downtime and can return normal activities in a few days. Multiple treatments are typically recommended for the best result.

PRP (Platelet-Rich-Plasma) is done by drawing the patient’s blood, centrifuging it to retrieve the patient’s own growth factors. The high concentrated growth factors are microneedled into the skin to improve recovery and increase the efficacy of the treatments.
