Almost 3 Weeks Post-op Liposuction. Is This Belly Normal? (Photo)

It's too early to know what your final result will be. I know it's hard to do, but you need to be patient and wait 3-6 months for the swelling to subside in order to see the final results. Follow your surgeon's instructions and follow up with them. Best wishes.

 At three weeks there is still a sizable amount of swelling after liposuction. I don't see anything in the photograph to be alarmed about. Continue to be patient and expect improvement over the ensuing weeks.

You are still early in the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation, discomfort and irregularities are normal.
If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question and photos. This is completely normal as you are still in the early stages of healing. You just need to be patient and make sure your recovery is smooth and comfortable. Please inform your plastic surgeon if you see any signs of infection or abnormalities. 1. Begin with a board certified
plastic surgeon and visit several offices
2. Seek a surgeon who does at least 100 of these procedures per year
3. Internet discussions do not replace the advice of your physician

Does appear you had multiple surgeries thus swelling will take longer to resolve. Didn't the DR surgeon explain this to you?? Best plan is return too DR for more post op care.. Also you might have other asymmetry issues starting. For that 'cheap' fee you should be happy you survived..let alone have an OK result..  

I don't know what you looked like before surgery.I don't think anyone can give you an accurate response without pre-op pictures.You are correct in that patients who are great candidates and have well-done liposuction can look great from day one.Follow up with your plastic surgeon.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
