Do many people stay overnight in the hospital?
Answer: VASER 4D Lipo When liposuction is an outpatient procedure, people usually recover quickly. Most people can return to work within a few days and get back to normal activities ... In my case where the unwanted fat is treated with VASER® Lipo ultrasound and gently removed from the body through small canulas that are inserted through undetectable incisions and your VASER® Lipo procedure may take between one and several hours to complete, depending on the number of areas being treated exist the possibility that the patient stay the night at the surgery center for observation to study the evolution immediate surgery.

Answer: Outpatient liposuction Liposuction is almost always performed as an outpatient procedure. The only instance where hospitalization may be recommended would be after massive liposuction where so much fat is removed that issues regarding blood pressure and post op fluid management come into play. Seek the advice of a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Absolutely Liposuction is a very safe outpatient procedure as long as the guidelines are maintained. Up to 5 liters of fat can be removed and as long as anesthesia is longer than 6 hours and there are no other co morbidities, then it a very safe and reproducible outpatient procedure.

Answer: Is Liposuction An Outpatient Procedure? I have literally done thousands of liposuctions. Never once have I put a patient in the hospital for an overnight stay.Liposuction, while it is a very aggressive procedure, as long as the surgeon stays under 5 liters of fat removed and as long as the patient is healthy, will not require an overnight hospitalization. At certain universities around the country and under controlled conditions, some plastic surgeons do mega liposuction which requires hospitalization, but this is certainly not the norm. What keeps one from bleeding and therefore bruising significantly after liposuction is remaining housebound for 3 days, and preferably 5 days. The only thing that keeps a liposuction patient from significant bruising is tiny little clots on tiny little capillaries. If you stay housebound for 3 days and do minimal exertion for the next 2, on the 6th day you can run a marathon with no adverse reactions. Of course, that would require you having the ability to run a marathon.
