I got a breast lift January 8th and I noticed that my areola is puffy without my breast being swollen. Will it lay down flat?
Answer: Post Op Concerns - Appearance of Nipples Hi EXPLOSIVE, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process at 4 weeks post op. Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the operated area are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides, you will be able to see the final result of your breast lift surgery. But if you are still concerned, you can always visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. This way, you will be reassured. Also, if after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss the possibility of revision surgery. Lastly, follow your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions and advice for faster healing and recovery. Answer: Areola after breast lift Hi there and thanks for you question and photos! Your incisions are healing very nicely. As for your areola and nipple, they should reduce in size when swelling is completely resolved. This will take months and complete healing can take up to a full year for final results. I suggest you speak to your plastic surgeon for his/her opinion. Best of luck!

Answer: Will my areola go down? The areola will get less projective with time. Whether it will lay flat only time will tell. The best answer is to wait it out to see. The incisions are healing nicely.

Answer: Breast Lift Dear Explosive, It usually will take a few months for swelling to go down after surgery. So, you "puffiness" will reduce for sure. However, based on your photo... it would be hard to say it will eventually lay completely flat. Ask your PS what they think. Hope this helps and good luck!

Answer: Will my areola go down? (Photo) Hello dear!! Thanks for your question and provided information. You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months. Be patient, it is too soon to determine your final result. If the situation doesn't improve over time, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
