The scars seem wide to me, not at all in a straight line. They have also split (which I have read is fairly normal.) I am not a smoker. I want to trust my surgeon but I also wanted some other opinions. He told me to rub a wash cloth on the scars to help them heal faster, is that something you would also suggest? This is my first time experiencing this, so I’d just like to know if this is a normal thing or if the surgery could have been performed better

I really don't think that will be an issue. My reduction patients regularly comment on how many of their friends and aquaintances tell them they look like they lost weight after their surgery.
