It's been 8 months since my last syringe - Why is there a white border around my lip? (photos)

The commonest reason for a white appearance after filler injections is placement of the product too superficially ( ie too close to the skin’s surface), resulting in what is called a tyndall effect that is caused by the way light is reflected by the product. It can often take several repeat injections with hyaluronidase to get rid of the unwanted filler, which can be quite stubborn when it is located in the superficial layers of the skin.

If you unhappy with fillers it can be reversed and reinjected. The white border is normal for those who get larger lip shapes and/or is sometimes migration. I would use daily hydration and plumping (see emeragecosmetics lip essentials kit, see link). Everyone can do a little filler when done well-- it really gives nice hydration and plumping.  Best, Dr. Emer.
