If my patients are having any operation under sedation or general anesthetic they need to be taken home by a responsible adult who will stay with them overnight. Please check with your plastic surgeon about their policy, and make sure you have appropriate care after your operation.
After having a procedure with anesthesia you should have a responsible adult with you at least overnight and we typically recommend for 24 hours.Take care,Dr. Howell
You will need to share your secret with a minimum of one person who will be available to not only take you home, but stay with you. Most reputable surgicenters would not release you to go home in a taxi alone. Depending on your level of anesthesia, it could be several hours or even overnight before it is safe for you to be home alone in case of emergency. Talk with your doctor about this; maybe they can help you make arrangements with a professional caregiver if you are absolutely unwilling to ask a friend or family member.
Typically not after any procedure requiring any type of anesthesia. Releasing a patient to someone the patient does not know is a liability to any facility.
Thanks for your heartfelt question. I would not recommend liposuction till someone was 18 years of age. Please seek your family doctor/pediatrician to discuss weight loss strategies. Good Luck.
I can see why this is a concern for you. Without physical examination it's impossible to conclude what is specifically wrong. Sometimes inadequate liposuction may require a revision to make the results uniform. If the problem is excess skin this is another situation altogether. In My opinion...
Liposuction pricing is dependent on a lot of things but mainly the expertise of the surgeon and how detailed the procedure. The type of liposuction shouldn't matter as the person using the tool is always better than any tool on its own. I have 5 different devices and customize my approach to...
There is some evidence on the use of stimulants and diuretics post liposuction to decrease swelling and improve outcomes. I have all my patients on this type of regimen and back to the gym in 7-10 days. Best, Dr. Emer.
A person's weight can fluctuate considerably after liposuction or other operations not just from the tissue that was removed. Temporary issues like fluid retention or constipation can also have an effect. If you have any concerns I would mention them to your physician.
Having had liposuction myself and having performed it on many patients for most it's physiologically fairly mild. As long as your health is stable I don't see a problem with liposuction.
