Can I take a taxi cab home after Lipo procedure, I really don't want anyone knowing I got it done?

If my patients are having any operation under sedation or general anesthetic they need to be taken home by a responsible adult who will stay with them overnight.  Please check with your plastic surgeon about their policy, and make sure you have appropriate care after your operation.

You will need to share your secret with a minimum of one person who will be available to not only take you home, but stay with you.  Most reputable surgicenters would not release you to go home in a taxi alone.  Depending on your level of anesthesia, it could be several hours or even overnight before it is safe for you to be home alone in case of emergency.  Talk with your doctor about this; maybe they can help you make arrangements with a professional caregiver if you are absolutely unwilling to ask a friend or family member.
