5 months ago I had voluma injected in my cheer throughs to lessen darkness under my eyes. it was a disaster. Now after 5 months underneath my left eye is a lump the size of a pea. Is this due to the dissolving? Am I going to have to have this lump removed? Or will it go away on its own? Is it going to get bigger?
Answer: Lump after Voluma Thank you for the picture. The lump is either scar tissue, or more likely, undesired Voluma. I would recommend that you first see the injecting physician for an adequate exam to better evaluate the lump. You will likely then receive Hyaluronidase, an injection to dissolve the Voluma, that is contributing to the darkness. This may be ineffective 5 months out, but should be attempted because Voluma may last up to 2 years. If this doesn't work, the next step will likely be steroid injection for any residual scarring that may have resulted from any excessive massaging or subsequent inflammation. Good luck.

Answer: Visit your injector and discuss a hyaluronidase injection to have the product dissolved. Thank you for your question. Visit your injector and discuss a hyaluronidase injection to have the product dissolved. This may take a couple of sessions. The lump should dissolve. Voluma is a thick product and should not be used under the eyes. Juvederm makes a product called Refine which is much better. Best,

Answer: Masses under the eyes following Voluma injections It appears that the lumps you described have been related in some way to the injections. I strongly recommend visiting with the physician who injected you and exploring the possibility of having the product removed. Without examining you it is impossible to determine whether additional treatments would be required as well.

Answer: Lower Eyelid Lump after Voluma Thank you for your question. This likely represents filler that is too superficial. It can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. To be sure, see two or more licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have these treatments. I hope this helps.

Answer: Pea sized lump after filler It is one of two things: a pocket of the filler itself, or a ball of scar tissue from so much handling and pressing of the area. Without an in-person examination it is impossible to tell you. If it is product, a small injection of hyaluronidase can dissolve it. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion.
