What is the best procedure to help fix the asymmetrical problem of my right brow being much lower and my right eyelid being more hooded than my left? Is a unilateral brow lift a thing? Open to options! The entire right half of my face is completely different than the left but the eye and brow area are most bothersome. It can be even worse when I am very fatigued.
Answer: Facial Sculpting with Fillers | Brow Ptosis / Asymmetry | Browlift | Upper Blepharoplasty | Eyelid Lift Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your exact situation. For less significant issues, there are nonsurgical treatments: To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling. Surgery (browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there is more substantial eyebrow drooping or asymmetry. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Frontal browlift, rhinoplasty and lip lift You have a high forehead and relatively receding hairline. You would benefit from a frontal browlift. This will lower your hairline, decrease the height of the forehead and correct the asymmetry of the eyebrows. Another thing to consider is some of your asymmetry comes from the nose which is inclined to one side and you have dorsal irregularities. This can be corrected by a rhinoplasty to make your face look more symmetrical. Also, you would benefit from a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Asymmetry everyone has asymmetry in their face, and I think you will put yourself in a bad cycle if you are chasing this forever as this is due to an underlying bone issue that cannot be changed. HOWEVER, if you feel that this is something that you absolutely must address, then yes it is possible to get uniltateral brow lifts vs. bilateral lifts but simply lifting one more.

Answer: Asymmetry in brows and eyelids You do not need a brow lift, because the height of both eyebrows is acceptable. Consider an asymmetrical upper blepharoplasty to make your eyes look more symmetrical by removing more skin side with a lower eyebrow. An upper blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure
