I asked this question in a different way already, but the way I asked it made it unclear what I wanted to know. I'm trying to decide if I should do a corrugator resectioning during my upcoming brow lift. My concern is that it will leave me with an unnatural appearance which is what a different doctor told me (not the one performing the surgery).

Corrugator resection can be fraught with problems including asymmetry, contour irregularities, muscle fibrillations, muscle pull asymmetries, persistent pain, persistent edema. I highly recommend against this and just to perform Botox.  I recommend finding a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Ideally, one with experience in facial aesthetic surgery.

It may be very helpful, if you did not try it before, to have Botox delivered for the purpose of paralysis of corrugator muscle to see what result you may expect with corrugator resection. As mentioned recently in my comment, it is never a complete resection. The same principle may be applied for brow lift leaving the lateral portion of frontalis muscle intact, untreated. Corrugator release is a fairly routine part of browlift surgery and can look very aesthetically pleasing. Based on your photo, it should be a part of the browlift surgical plan for you.  Over-elevation of the central brow tends to give an individual a strange look and should be avoided.  I recommend looking at your operating Surgeon's results and making a decision about whether you like the appearance or not.

It's very important to only perform a partial resection/ weakening of the muscle so that there's still movement and retain some scowling ability. If the muscle is very strong like in the photographs, it will continue to give you dermal, atrophy wrinkles between your eyebrows, and pull your eyebrows more downward every time you contract the muscle.
