Can dermal filler create a nose dip? (photos)

Question

My nose does not bother me enough to warrant a surgical rhinoplasty. However, I was wondering if fillers could remedy a slightly bulbous nose as well as create a nose dip (perhaps by injecting the nose top?) Thanks In advance!

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question about non surgical nose jobs.  The medical term for this procedure is a Liquid Rhinoplasty.  A liquid rhinoplasty is not permanent like a surgical Rhinoplasty would be, but it offers a wonderful alternative to surgery.  It is difficult to give accurate suggestions without an in person consultation.  Not everyone is a candidate for a non surgical nose job.  Occasionally it is possible to give the appearance of slimming a person's nose with a liquid rhinoplasty, but not always.  
To be sure you receive the best treatment, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

You are a good candidate for a non-surgical rhinoplasty using dermal fillers. The two problem areas are the radix (where your nose comes out of your forehead) which is low relative to the bridge and the tip which is broad and lacking projection (or as you call it, a “dip”). The wideness of your tip however will only be minimally improved. The main benefit would be in your profile. Only rhinoplasty surgery will substantially decrease the broadness of your tip.

In skillful and experienced hands, filler could be used in your nose to slightly modify the tip of the nose, as well as creating a small supra tip break.  The top portion of the bridge of the nose could also be filled slightly, in order to feminize your nose, and make it look more slender: providing more balance to your facial features.

Fillers can be used to alter the shape of the nose quite effectively, however, it all depends on the nose shape and what is desired.  In your case, keep in mind that fillers can only add volume but not subtract anything.  So yes, the supra tip depression (or break) can be created in your case but that would be projecting your tip much farther than ideal in order to get this result.  The bulbosity of your tip could likely be softened some with correct filler placement.  Hope this helps!.
