Pending replacement of 22 yr old saline implants - will I need a lift if I replace with smaller and or lower profile? (Photos)

If you go with similar size implants, your breasts will appear similar- slightly lower and more natural. Usually have to go a little larger 375cc high profile gels to match 350cx saline implants.

If you replace with smaller implants, then you will likelyneed a full T lift for perkier breasts.

Wider or different profiles will give less upper fullness and go toward axilla more.

Continued discussion with your/a plastic surgeon is recommended.

I don't understand why your ob/gyn would direct you to remove your saline implants. From your photos, your breasts look pretty good. There is absolutely no reason to remove/replace saline implants no matter how old they are as long as you are happy with the way your breasts look and feel. It is an unfortunate myth that implants, especially saline, need to be replaced every ten years. Perhaps that is why your ob/gyn thinks they need to be removed. The fact that your implants shift off to the side when you lay down and would like to go a bit smaller would be a reason to remove/replace your implants. If the capsule around your implants is thick enough then you may be able to avoid mesh by having the new implant placed in a new pocket anterior to the capsule and in the subfascial plane. You may be able to avoid a lift if you are only going 50cc smaller. You can always see how they look without the lift and then come back later for a lift if you think the tradeoff of a scar is worth it. In my opinion, a donut lift combined with is rarely a good idea. I have seen far more bad results from that procedure than good ones.
