I want to get a hydrafacial before and after a profractional laser treatment. Whats the best time between each to maximize the benefits of each procedure? Would getting a laser treatment too soon like 2 weeks after a facial sort of decrease the benefits of the facial or vice versa?
Answer: It is recommended to wait 2 weeks between these treatments. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Time between treatments Getting a hydrating facial prior to lasers has no time frame. We always like to say 2 weeks to allow the skin to recover. Getting a facial after laser we want to wait 4 weeks to give the skin time to heal. Lasers are more abrasive and we need the skin barrier fully healed prior to any hydrating and relaxing facials.

Answer: HydraFacial and Factional laser Hello Riley, I am a medical Aesthetician at Aesthetic Skin with Dr. Anil Shah in Illinois. This is a fabulous question! for optimal results we would complete the HydraFacial first, then the laser treatment 2-4 weeks after. the Hydrafacial will exfoliate the skin, refine the pores as well as infuse beneficial serums to the skin this treatment alone will improve the overall appearance to the skin improving the skins tone and texture. Adding the laser treatment 2-4 weeks after will stimulate new collagen production increasing elasticity in the skin for truly amazing results.

Answer: When should I get a Hydrafacial after Profractional laser ? Profractional laser and Hydrafacial are both popular cosmetic procedures that can improve the appearance of the skin. Profractional laser is a more aggressive treatment that resurfaces the skin by creating tiny microchannels in the skin to stimulate collagen production and promote skin renewal. Hydrafacial, on the other hand, is a milder treatment that uses a vacuum-like device to clean, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin. If you have undergone a profractional laser treatment, it is recommended to wait at least 6 weeks in my opinion before getting a Hydrafacial. This waiting period allows the skin to fully heal and regenerate after the more aggressive laser treatment. Getting a Hydrafacial too soon after a profractional laser treatment can cause irritation, redness, and sensitivity in the treated area, which can prolong the healing process. It is also important to consult with your medical professional before getting any cosmetic treatments to ensure that you are a good candidate for the procedure and to discuss any potential risks or complications. Additionally, it is important to follow proper aftercare instructions provided by your medical professional after any cosmetic treatment to optimize results and minimize the risk of complications. In summary, it is generally recommended to wait at least 6 weeks after a profractional laser treatment before getting a Hydrafacial to allow for full skin healing and regeneration. However, it is important to consult with a qualified medical professional to determine the best treatment plan for your individual needs and to discuss any potential risks or complications.
