Hydrafacial after Botox - are any steps recommended to avoid displacement?

Hello, I got a Hydrafacial two days after botox because the aftercare instructions didn’t say anything about avoiding facial treatements after 24 hours. It just said not to massage the area for the first six hours and to stay upright and not work out for 24 hours, etc. But I looked it up out of curiosity after the procedure, and saw most sources says to wait at least five days. Wish I would’ve looked it up before! Nothing looks off yet, but are any steps recommended to avoid displacement?

It is recommended to wait 2 weeks after a Botox treatment before a HydraFacial to prevent movement of the product. If you did HydraFacial and tox in the same day it is recommended to have the HydraFacial prior to any Botox injection.

You should have no issues from your HydraFacial performed two days after your Botox treatment.  By this time it would be unlikely for the product to disperse from the targeted muscle.  Your Botox final results are seen two weeks after injection.

Hello! That's a great question. A Hydrafacial is superficial and shouldn't be too aggressive if done well. I would say waiting a day or two is probably enough. I have some who will have a Hydrafacial and then get Botox right afterward. The only downside is that the Hydrafacial (depending on the ampules used) may make your skin more sensitive and the Botox more uncomfortable initially. I'm unaware of any scientific basis to wait 5 days, though. Glad the Botox hasn't changed for you and I hope this helps!
