Hi, we would not recommend Hydrafacial a week after microdermabrasion or diamond glow facial. Both of these facials require exfoliation. There is potential of over exfoliating the skin which can damage your skin barrier. It is recommended to wait 4 to 6 weeks in between treatments.
Hi, thank you for your question. If you are receiving a surgical diamond microdermabrasion by a plastic surgeon that is exfoliating down to the dermis layer of skin then you may want to wait 4-6 weeks to heal before doing Hydrafacial. Traditional microdermabrasion done by aestheticians exfoliates the upper outer layer of the epidermis and tends to leave skin dry after. Hydrafacial can then be performed after 1 week. Try the "Wet Diamond" tip from Hydrafacial where you still are exfoliating the outer most layer but also fusing concentrated super serums to aid in hydration minimizing irritation than traditional microderm. We recommend that you see a licensed esthetician who is a Hydrafacial specialist and a licensed for theses types of treatments.
Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, you may be able to receive a HydraFacial with a low peel solution such as 7.5% glycolic acid. It is always important to check in with your provider prior to receiving a treatment. HydraFacial, depending on the settings used, can be gentler than diamond microdermabrasion. HydraFacials are enzyme exfoliation, while microdermabrasion is manual exfoliation, both can be done based on your skin's needs and concerns. This response is for educational and informational purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided by a qualified healthcare provider.
A HydraFacial can be performed 2 weeks after recieving a microdermabrasion treament. This would help rehydrate your skin, and add a youthful glow!
Hello, thank you for your question. Our nurse injector reviewed your case and states that a hydrafacial may temporarily relieve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles due to the skin being more hydrated. However, the anatomical concern is the descent of malar volume and lost collagen is the...
Hello, my name is Ranen Atieh and I work at Dr. Anil Shah's office. There shouldn't be an issue getting a hydrafacial when you have vitiligo. I would inform the provider just to have that documented in your chart.
Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus...
Yes! Patients with mild rosacea can still get HydraFacial's. The HydraFacial is a gentle and non-invasive facial. During the treatment we are using vortex technology to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin by gently suction out dirt, oil, and product build up which can be adjusted to a more...
