Hello I am 5’3 130 lbs getting my breast re-done my first augmentation I got 380ccs but now I want to go bigger, I’m looking for a rounder fuller “fake” look my DR. Suggested 500ccs Round HP silicone implants. I’m scared that it’s a huge jump in size and also scared that it might look huge for my body.
Answer: Alternative to implants Unfortunately, you have not told us your bra size or provided photographs. You may consider explantation, breast lift and fat transfers to give you the fuller rounder look you desire. The technique I recommend is explantation using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed is additional volume is desired. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Thoughts on my implant size? Without photos, there is really no way to give you good advice here. If you trust your surgeon, then I would go with their recommendations. If not, then encourage you to get a second opinion. Sizing is really more of an art than a science and there are a number of variables which help determine how a specific amount of volume will look like on your specifically versus someone else. I hope that helps and wish you the very best!Warmest regards,Gregory A Buford MD fACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author

Answer: Implant size and type Dear juicyl0ve,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Best breast implants for me (revisionary breast surgery)? Thank you for the question. The upsizing of breast implants you are considering will make a noticeable difference; the most important question is whether it will achieve the outcome you are looking for. This question cannot be answered online. Keep in mind as you are thinking about your goals that sometimes adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsule adjustments) may be necessary to achieve the outcome you are looking for. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural or fake look” or "up a cup size” or "D or DD cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Revision Sizing As a rough guide, one cup size is about 135 cc's. This does depend on the width of your breast and the size of your rib cage. It is very common to go up 100-150 cc with a revision breast augmentation. Typically, revision patients either receive a high profile or ultra high profile implant. Also, the mentor extra gel implant is a new implant that is so popular it is often on backorder and provides that fake look. My patients have been thrilled with that implant.
