Though not knowing your personal case, as a certified surgeon I can honestly say that before you even consider a BBL after a lipo or tummy tuck, take some time to realize exactly what you want most. Once you have a lipo done, you won't be able to use any of the fat in your abdomen, waist, or back as part of your Brazilian Butt lift. Now, if you decide that a BBL is more important to you, then you can save a substantial amount of time and money by combining fat grafting (which would be liposuctioning your fat from trouble areas and injecting them into the buttocks) and having two procedures in one. Ultimately, the decision is yours.
During Tummy Tuck is very common to do liposuction but if you are considering to do BBL in the near future after Tummy Tuck, you have to know that all of the areas lipoed, will not be the perfect ones to harvest "virgin" fat, so my recommendation is to do just TT,no liposuction, in order to save the virgin areas an then do the BBL without an issue.Be encouraged.Dr. Cardenas
If you are having liposuction of your abdomen as part of your Brazilian buttock lift, I would wait close to six months to allow for normalization of the blood supply. If you are not having abdominal liposuction as part of your fat transfer to the buttock, you can do it sooner, closer to three or four months. Consult with a few board certified plastic surgeons to be sure you are a good candidate.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I would recommend waiting six months between surgeries, but remember that all depends on your health and lab tests.l suggest you make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
The ideal time to have the fat transferred is the same moment you are getting the liposuction done. If you already underwent surgery( tummy tuck and lipossuction) , you might have some extra fat left on your abdomen that can be used for transfer after a minimum of 4 months after the tummy tuck is healed and swelling is gone .Best wishes
It is important to make sure your body has fully healed before undergoing another procedure. This is usually between 4-6 months. You may no longer be a good candidate for a BBL after the TT and Lipo, but consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine what is your best option.
I usually have patients wait about 3-4 months between procedures provided that they have healed well. Best of luck. Too bad you couldn't use the fat when you had liposuction.
