I’ve akways had loose skin on my upper abs and i hate my belly button. I look great in clothes but I’ve always wanted a nice tight stomach. I work out 4 days a week and watch what i eat. Is a tummy tuck worth it or am i being ridiculous? I have had a c section which healed nicely. My stomach is flat so really it’s just the skin and my belly button that bothers me.
Answer: Full tummy tuck I have recently done two ladies in just your situation, namely that you are quite slim, the main excess of skin is above the belly button, and you have piercings in you belly button that you don't like now the the belly button is sagging slightly. In both cases I performed a full tummy tuck, bring the tummy tuck scar down to the level of their c-section scars, but the trade off was that they had to have a short vertical scar on their lower abdomen where their old belly button was located, as I couldn't quite bring the skin form above their old belly button site down to the level where their c-section scars were located. However if you have breast augmentation done at the same time (ie mommy makeover) then there won't be quite so much excess tissue to come down, as it is pulled up to the breasts. There should be photos of the ladies I operated on in "mommy makeover" under my name. Good luck.

Answer: Candidate for Mini Tummy Tuck Thank you for the detailed question and corresponding photos. Based on your photos and description, you would be a great candidate for a mini tummy tuck. While you look amazing 10 weeks postpartum, diet and exercise will not get rid of the loose skin that is bothering you. A mini tummy tuck will result in a scar within your bikini line that can easily be hidden. I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in-person consultation to discuss your goals and a treatment plan that is right for you. At our practice we also provide consults via FaceTime or Skype for patients who live outside of NY. For more information, please visit our webpage.

Answer: Tummy tuck procedure Thank you for your question and photos. The answer to your question is dependent on your desired result. In your case, you are rather petite to begin with but your photos do indicate that you are dealing with some excess skin post-pregnancy. A tummy tuck will address this skin and help flatten your stomach. The trade off, however, will be the scar. This is an entirely personal decision. If you would like more information on what a tummy tuck would entail, I would set up a consultation with a reputable plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Tummy Thank you for your question, You are perfect candidate for a mini tummy tuck. Only thing is it will not change your belly button which frankly speaking is very attractive and does not need revision. I would not advise a full tummy tuck with the length of incision required

Answer: Tummy Tuck Options Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. I might recommend a floating abdominoplasty for someone in your position. This would involve minimal skin removal and some smoothing out of the belly button, in addition to abdominal muscle repair. An in-person exam would help determine whether you have enough lax tissue to warrant a full tummy tuck. I recommend that you schedule a consultation with a local plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and learn about options. All the best
