I've had no sexual desire 8 weeks post op tummy tuck and lipo to back. Is this normal? I’m starting to feel bad for my husband.

If you have discomfort related to the surgery you should let your plastic surgeon know, otherwise follow up with your primary physician to investigate other causes if this doesn't improve.All the best 

Thanks for your question. Surgery can certainly take a lot of energy out of the body and so this is not completely unusual. You should mention this to your plastic surgeon and your OB. Depending on your age, there maybe a hormonal link in addition to possibly having a mild anemia after surgery. Some lab tests may be necessary and some supplements as well. Best wishes. Dr. Aldo

,,Sexual desire is triggered by a variety of things and is suppressed by others. Tiredness, soreness and fear of discomfort, after surgery, can certainly degrees drive. These issues will pass, but in the meantime, being considerate of your spouse is important.
