Will i ever see results, i am so confused..I was told that was what they were going to do...But he did from the inside and i am still having droopy eyelids, I just wonder if that procedure was the right one

Swelling may mask the results a bit.  You have to give it more time to heal and allow for the swelling to subside.

Hi. From your description, it sounds like you had a procedure called internal ptosis repair (the eyelid muscle is tightened from the inside of the eyelid). You can usually see results within a week or two from this procedure, although it may take longer in some cases. Another thing that to consider is that internal ptosis repair only raises the height of the eyelid margin (where the eyelashes are). It does not address any excess eyelid skin. So if you also have extra eyelid skin, It can be harder to notice that the eyelid margin has been raised. Hope this helps, Ira Vidor, M.D.

You had a legitimate procedure used by many ptosis surgeons, so it was deemed "the right procedure" by your surgeon. Some oculoplastic surgeons do not use this procedure at all because it does not address excess skin, lid crease, lid fold, levator issues, eyelash ptosis, or precise lid margin contour. In my practice I have had patients come in for a second opinion because of asymmetry or failure of the procedure. You are obviously still healing from the procedure, so I would advise waiting until you have healed completely before coming to any conclusions. If you are droopy at 6 months, then seek another opinion. Best wishes.
