Hello, hope you are well. It is not uncommon to see patients seeking revision facelifts, but rarely a third or fourth procedure. With each procedure, additional risk is introduced into the risk-benefit 'equation' and the likelihood of having an unfavorable result or complication increases. The vascularity and blood supply will become a little more compromised with each procedure, and the risk of skin necrosis and scarring increases. But at the end of the day, the decision to proceed with revision work takes into account many individual factors including patient anatomy and behavior (smoking, etc). In reality, I find that patients patients seeking revision work often underwent an insufficient procedure in the first place (i.e. a skin excision and pull), and after undergoing a technically correct deep-plane lift results are satisfying and long-lived. Best,Dr. Tower
