Would a facelift help with my sagging face? (Photo)

Im 43 and have been really down for a few years now . over the space of a few weeks I lost alot of volume from my face . I think it was retina A . Since then I have tried to put more fat on but the sagging lines by my ears are always there . My left cheek lost more volume so my face is very asymmetrical now. I had some Ellance filler about 3 years ago and thats now mostly worn off . It didn't look that good. Im wondering if a face lift would help . Thanks

Hello !

Based on the pictures you provided, I believe that you would benefit from a facelift with fat transfer to the face.

The most appropriate candidates for a classic face lift are those who have a well-defined bone structure but whose face and skin are slack and sagging due to age or extreme weight loss.

Of course, consult with a board certified plastic surgeon expert in this field.

Unfortunately, fillers are only a short fix solution. With aging, skin and deeper tissues droop lower and in some parts of the face the tissues deflate and lose volume. This gives the classical sagging appearance as we age. The idea behind "facelift" is to restore volume to the face by repositioning the tissues back to their normal positions. This type of surgery is longer lasting than fillers, but not permanent. I would recommend that you see a plastic surgeon with an interest in facial surgery for a full assessment. Based on this, different options can be discussed to address your goals.
