Hello everyone, I'm trying to decide between 315cc and 375cc anatomical implants. I am 163cm tall and weigh 57kg. I currently wear 12A. I have seen a lot of posts where people say it's incorrect to compare cc's to cup sizes but I just want a rough idea. Will the 315cc be too small for me to achieve a D/DD cup??

Answer: Understanding Breast Implant Sizing It's important to obtain an understanding of how breast implant sizing and bra sizing works. There are two issues with asking a question like this. The first issue is that without actually measuring your breasts, seeing the amount of existing tissue you have, and discussing your aesthetic goals, there is no way to determine which implant size is best suited to you, or what kind of size a certain implant type will produce. 315cc on one patient can be very subtle, and on another patient can be very enhanced, it is all dependent on their anatomy. The second issue is that bra sizing is extremely variable. A D cup in one bra brand can be a C or a DD in another brand. As such, we never recommend speaking in terms of cup sizes. A better approach is to bring in inspiration photos to your plastic surgeon. Photos of results you like can help communicate your expectations to your plastic surgeon more clearly. This also provides a more specific view of which aspects you prefer whether it be cleavage, upper-pole fullness etc.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author.
