I had Blephroplasty 9 months ago. My eyelids are now very uneven and my eyes look different sizes. What is the best way to correct this ? No fat or muscle was removed. Only the excess skin. I feel like I have a bulging eye now and want more symmetry. Do I need scar revision or to lift the drooping eye ?
Answer: "Scar revision" will not fix this. You had a very aggressive skin only blepharoplasty. This sound relatively benign but post surgical internal scaring can cause displacement of the upper eyelid tendon, which causes the upper eyelid ptosis. Your creases were made very high. To be repaired, the creases need to be lowered. The scar tissue from the blepharoplasty needs to be broken up, The upper eyelid fat that is matted down needs to be mobilized to contribute volume to the upper eyelid fold and the upper eyelid ptosis repaired. This type of repair is highly specialized. Your surgeon will not be experienced in making this repair. I am attaching references to this work. It all starts with a detailed personal assessment. If you have been instructed to massage the eyelid, you can stop this, it will not make a difference. If you are using a lash growth serum, stop this as it is harming the eyelid.

Answer: Asymmetry after eyelid surgery Hi it appears as though the asymmetry in your eyelids results from your surgeon having made the incisions much higher than your natural eyelid crease position (especially on the left upper eyelid where there is more eyelid showing above the lash line). To correct this, you will need a lid crease reformation procedure. Please see an experienced Oculoplastic surgeon for best results for this revision.

Answer: Upper eyelid asymmetry after previous surgery There are several potential treatment options including upper eyelid filler, internal ptosis surgery, or crease revision. Need more detailed evaluation to determine.

Answer: Eyelid asymmetry You have an increased tarsal platform show on the left upper lid (area where you would put eye shadow). This creates asymmetry between the upper lids. You may also have a micro ptosis on the left upper lid with a compensatory brow elevation. The scar on the left upper lid is certainly higher than the left. This can usually be improved with tightening the muscle on the left side and creating a better lid crease. Best to see an eyelid expert in your area.

Answer: Eye asymmetry I believe you had more scarring in left eyelid compared to right eye. You can try massaging left eyelid 3-4 times a day for few minutes, so that it might help soften scar and give you some relief to your problem. If it does not help, I think you can consult with your plastic surgeon for touch-up procedure.
