Does taking prednisone 20 mg affect my Voluma filler?

1 week ago I had 2 syringes of voluma in both cheeks . Today the doctor prescribed to me a small cycle of prednisone 20 mg to treat the pinch of nerve I have in my back . My question is does prednisone 20 mg affects the result of the filler & botox Which i already have in my face ?

No, this won't negatively impact your results. Keep in mind, it can take 1-2 weeks for final results with Voluma. Best, Dr. Emer

Thanks for your message. Prednisone typically does not have an affect on fillers and Botox. You should make your provider aware that you are taking Prednisone and as long as they are comfortable it should be ok to proceed with additional Botox and filler treatments. In our office we've had patients taking Prednisone who have had these treatments without complication. Best of luck!
