I am hoping to get a medical opinion on what my nose would need. It seems to be getting more crooked as I get older and I was wondering if this was possible and what could cause it, and how it could be fixed. And if there are any non surgical options as i am afraid of anesthesia. Thank you.
Answer: My nose is becoming more crooked as I age, what are my options? A closed rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish straightening the crooked nose. This involves placement of all the incisions on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are required. Osteotomies placed in the nasal bones will be required to straighten them. The spreader graft composed of the patient's own cartilage will most likely be required to be placed on the concave side as well. In our practice, patients are placed under general anesthesia by a board-certified physician anesthesiologist for patient safety and comfort. For many examples of straightening the crooked nose with closed rhinoplasty, please see the link and the video below

Answer: Thank you for your question. Non surgical approach would include fillers. The results are temporary. When performing nasal septal reconstruction I incorporate the FINNESSE technique, which I invented. I routinely do not pack the nose. Pain and recovery are minimal when compared to traditional techniques. It’s not uncommon for patients to take only Tylenol after surgery. I utilize a good anesthesiologist. Surgery will give a a better long lasting result. I hope you find this information useful. For more information please watch the enclosed video.
