The edges of my platysma muscle are visible in the front when I hold my head up high. It doesn't look as though it is "split" but clearly visible. From reading it looks like the weight gain and loss through pregnancy or straining my neck at the gym could be the cause. Is botox the only option to hide this?

Answer: Platysma bands? Botox treatment Yes, try Botox to soften your platysmal bands and chemical peels to improve the quality of your skin and, one hopes, restore a bit of elasticity. Kybella or neck liposuction may be good options for defining the chin and jawline. I hope this helps.

Answer: Botox for platysmal bands If your bands are mild, Botox is an excellent choice for treatment. Some respond better than others, but it's certainly worth a try. See someone that has extensive experience.Andrew Campbell, M.D. Facial Rejuvenation Specialist Quintessa Aesthetic Centers
