Can Botox in the eyes area cause loss or thinning of eyebrow hair?

I do not believe that your hair loss is related to your Botox.  I recommend seeing a hair loss specialist if your symptoms persist.  Best of luck to you. 

Thank you for your question. I don't believe this could be related to the Botox injections. Hair loss is not a side effect of Botox. I would schedule an appointment with your doctor if it gets worse to determine what the cause may be.

I have never heard of or seen this problem. I don’t believe Botox has any effect on hair growth. Perhaps there’s a metabolic problem causing your eyebrow issues (ex-hypothyroidism). I hope this helps.

I have been treating patients with Botox and Dysport for over a decade and of the thousands of treatments, I have never had a patient complain of thinning eyebrows. I have not seen any reports of this occurring. You may want to have your treating doctor report this to Allergan as a possible side effect. If anyone else has reported this, they would eventually have to list it as a side effect. As of right now, it seems that your symptoms are a coincidence.You should look into other possibilities such as a thyroid problem which could cause hair loss including eyebrow hair. 

Hello and than you for your question.  The answer is no. Botox doesn't affect hair growth. It only works on the muscle to relax movement and soften appearance of the wrinkles. Thinning eyebrow hair is not a complication of Botox.  There are medical conditions that can cause thinning eyebrows, so you may want to talk to your doctor to figure out what is triggering this recent problem.
