Is it normal to have a hard bruise 2 weeks after breast augmentation?

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  For two weeks it appears that you had significant swelling from your procedure which may be contributing to your symptom as the tissue is stretched and taut.  That said it is important to rule out a discrete fluid collection like a hematoma.  I would advise seeing your surgeon for an in-person evaluation.  Best wishes.

Unfortunately, this is something that you would have to get your surgeon to examine. A bruise and hard knot that suddenly develops could be indication of a complication, and it’s safer for you that your surgeon is notified about your situation. 

Thank you for your photo and question.  You should most definitely return to see your surgeon.  You have invested money and time in your appearance and you owe it to yourself and your surgeon to be evaluated post operatively.  He or she can then determine whether you can be observed or if you need surgery to drain a hematoma.  Best of luck.

A hard bruise 13 days after breast augmentation is not something we ever dismiss in my practice. Please go in for an exam. If you have a hematoma, you might require a subsequent surgery. If you wait too long, you might increase your risk for capsular contracture in the future. Please see your surgeon. If you don't have a hematoma, you drove an hour for peace of mind.

If you have a question about your result - especially in the first few weeks - you should definitely ask your Surgeon.  They are the only ones whom knows what happen and what to expect.  If they ask you to come in, there is a reason - go.  Do not get your advice from the internet of friends.  You have to live with the result the est of your life.  You choose you surgeon for a reason - now trust him/her.

Please make the hour drive to see your surgeon. You may have a hematoma that requires additional surgery. Maybe it's just normal bruising that will clear up on its own. Your plastic surgeon will be able to determine exactly what it is after an exam. It will be worth the drive either way.
