I had liposuction of my abdomen and flanks 12 weeks ago. Is a large lump normal or do I have an underlying issue? (photos)

I had liposuction 12 weeks ago. Since the swelling has gone down on my lower abdomen, I have noticed a large bulge on my left abdomen. I went back to the surgeon and she said at my 6 mo check up, she would touch up the area if it appears to be a fat deposit. She also suggested it may be a hernia. I definitely can grab the area and feel fat. To my touch there is no hard lump. Thank you!!
