Thanks for the question. It’s too early to comment over the result. First couple of days after the surgery you can back to work and couple of weeks later your permanent recovery will start. It’s possible to see some major changes in Liposuction results till the end of 12 months recovery. I wish you all the best
This depends on the extent of your surgery. Generally, if you've had just a couple of areas treated then about 4 days off may be enough. If you've had a more extensive surgery, then you may need about a week. This is for sedentary work. If your job is physically demanding, then you may have to wait 3 weeks. However, you should ask your surgeon for more accurate advice pertaining to your specific situation.
When you get lipo done under local tumescent then you recover much faster and usually get better results than under gen. anesthesia. In 2 days you are back to work and in 1 week you are at the gym. Sincerely, David Hansen,MD
6 days should be fine to return to light work. I would have to assume the fat transfer is to your buttocks, which is the most common area for fat transfer. If that is the case you will likely have to keep pressure off of the area by sitting on a special pillow or a pillow placed under the thighs.
Dolores,When to return to work depends on a number of things:How much liposuction you will getThe areas of liposuctionWhat kind of work you doYour individual recovery time and pain thresholdMany of my patients are able to return to work one week after minimal to moderate liposuction.I hope this was helpful,Dr Daniel BarrettBeverly Hills, CA
