Is it safe to take Buspar and/or Ativan for anxiety the week prior to liposuction under conscious sedation?

I am having liposuction of the abdomen and flanks in 8 days. I have Buspar 15mg and Ativan .5mg prescribed PRN for anxiety but I rarely ever take it. I am extremely anxious the closer I get to the procedure. I don't want to take anything that could affect my anesthesia.

This might be fat but also could be a seroma (fluid collection), less likely a hernia. Would suggest have your surgeon evaluate it, possibly get ultrasound if concerned about fluid collection

Thanks for the question. It’s too early to comment over the result. First couple of days after the surgery you can back to work and couple of weeks later your permanent recovery will start. It’s possible to see some major changes in Liposuction results till the end of 12 months recovery....

It varies with the surgeon.  Since there is some marketing and cost comparing involved, some practices will advertise a low price for an area which may be half an area at another practice. So if you want to compare, go to several surgeons and ask to treat the areas that bother you. Don't...

Thanks for the question. I suggest you should meet your Board Certified Surgeon to talk this situation. Because it's better to wait a couple of months, your operation area trying to get healed. Then after yes, you can do smoke and drink. I wish you all the best.

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry that you are having  to deal with this complication.  From the photos it appears that too much fat was removed in the submental area and there may even be some burn injury to the skin.  I see from your profile that the surgery was done...
