Thank you for posting your question. Because there are so many surgeons out there who do perform the revision rhinoplasty surgery these are my three tips on finding the right surgeon for you:1. Look for a surgeon who is a board certified facial plastic surgeon by AAFPRS (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) and ABFPRS (American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery). These surgeons dedicate their skills to just the face. Once you have found a board certified facial plastic surgeon make sure they have extensive experience with the nose as well, primarily and especially the Rhinoplasty surgery. 2. Look at their before and after photos of the exact surgery you are interested in. Then look at their patient reviews. Both of these are very good indicators at what you can expect from the surgeon. 3. Meet the surgeon in person, this can help tremendously in determining if the surgeon is right for you and your case. I hope this was helpful and good luck in your search! Dr. Ivan Wayne
Revision rhinoplasty makes up a large percentage of my own practice, and it is similar for most of the top surgeons. Rhinoplasty is considered the most technically demanding and difficult plastic surgery. I suggest you consult the AAFPRS as facial plastic surgeons have, on average, the most training and experience with nose surgery. Then, find someone you like and work with them.
There are 100's of surgeons around the world who specialize in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. There are many in your local area and Dallas Texas as well. Look for a surgeon who has dedicated a significant component of the practice to the discipline of rhinoplasty, and performs them often on a weekly basis. Look at their board certifications, reviews, ratings, and rhinoplasty photo gallery which should be extensive. This Realself platform is an excellent way to find a rhinoplasty specialist.
