Swelling lump at Botox injection site .

Swelling at the site of a Botox injection normally resolves within 24 hours, occasionally persisting for a couple of days.  Swelling may also be the result of a small bruise from the injection, and this should resolve, on its own, in a few days.  If your swelling worsens, be sure to call your injector to let them know of your symptoms.

That swelling is most likely a bruise.  You may just have swelling or may also develop purple, red or yellow discoloration which can be normal after an injection.  If it continues to worsen or develop other issues then your doctor would want to know.  Topical arnica gel may help as well as ice packs.  

You have probably developed a bruise under the skin and it is causing the swelling.  It may take a week to resolve.  It will not affect your Botox result.

Localized swelling after Botox injections is not completely unusual. The degree of swelling and associated other symptoms can determine the cause and possible treatment for the swelling. The most likely cause is a small collection of blood just underneath the skin called a hematoma. This is a benign condition that usually improves in 24 to 48 hours. Icing can help speed up the healing process. A localized infection, while extremely rare, could also cause a slight swelling. This would typically cause more pain. Swelling or a lump at one injection site after Botox is likely from a bruise under the skin in that area.  As time goes forward, the bruise may reveal itself by becoming more typically purple in color.  Redness, warmth, and tenderness would be cause for concern and may signal an infection (which is rare after Botox).
