If you have an acute sinus infection, it is recommended to wait until it has cleared before getting Botox infections. However, a sinus condition should have no effect on the administration of Botox and results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I prefer to postpone the injection until your infection in the sinus has been appropriately treated. Always see an expert injector.
Thanks for your question. I always recommend delaying the procedure for 1-2 weeks until you get better. Its always best to practice safe injections in order to minimize complications.
Thank you for your question. Generally speaking, having a sinus infection should not affect having a Dysport injection. However it is always best, to get a in person recommendation with a board-certified dermatologist.
Thank you for your question. It is recommend to wait until your sinus infection is completely cleared before receiving Botox injections. Although, a sinus infection should have no effect on the results. I recommend discussing this with our injector. Best of Luck!
Great Question! I recommend waiting until your infeciton clears up prior to having Dysport injected anywhere on the face. Dysport can affect the muscles that allow you to breathe. Should these become temporarily weakened or impaired, you will be in great danger. "People with certain breathing problems may need to use muscles in their necks to help them breathe and may be at greater risk for serious breathing problems with Dysport®"I hope you feel better soon! Get well, THEN get your Dysport!
If you have infections in areas not related to where you are getting sinus problems then there is no reason why Dysport is contra-indicated. Having fillers when you are having sinus infections increases the risks of FILLER infections, but with Botox- Dysport it does not. Have a chat to your specialist if you are concerned. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Hi Amy. Generally speaking, it takes 2 weeks to see your results. Dysport tends to work sooner than other neuromodulators, but the two week rule still applies. See your injector after 2 weeks to see your results and address any touch ups.
Migration of neuromodulators is unusual 23 hours later and massage should not displace it. Speak with your injector if you are still concerned.
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin all require dilution prior to injection. It was wise of you to not go through with the injections. What you were told makes completely no sense it makes me question the skill and ethics of the injector. Best of luck.
Thanks for the opportunity to answer this question. You can consider taking a non-sedating antihistamine like Allegra if you're not allergic. Another consideration is Bromelain and/or Arnica. Always discuss your concerns with your injector.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
I don't believe your 20 units of Dysport are the cause of your symptoms. Instead, I think you are having anxiety because you're reading worse case scenarios online about your recent treatments. Your dose is 1/3 the normal dose I use in the same area and Dysport is not going to move through your...
The toxic dose for botulism is well over 1000 units.... We typically use no more 60units per patient per time. The effects are not cumulitive as the toxin is metabolized and leaves the body completely after 3-5months. There are some conditions myasthenia gravis and other medical...
