Thank you for your question but this question should be directed towards your surgeon, as he/she is in charge of your care. I recommend about 10-12 massages after surgery (2-3 per week). This can be combined with ultrasound and radiofrequency therapy to modulate the post-operative inflammation.

Hello, after liposuction lumpiness or contour irregularity can occur. A lumpy stomach can be due to technical error or excessive scar tissue fromation. Massage does not guarantee that lumpiness will not occur. There is no direct standard massage protocol. It varies on your surgeon. Some recommend massage some do not say it helps. I recommend massage at about 3 weeks after liposuction when the patient is able to tolerate massages without pain or discomfort. Thanks

I don't think you should require post liposuction massage.  Occasionally you might experience some firmness to the tissue in the recovery phase but you should appear smooth throughout the recovery process.

I recommend my patients to start massaging two weeks after surgery. It should be done daily for 5-10 mins. Consult with your surgeon since each surgeon has slightly different protocol.
