I had my BA surgery 3 weeks ago and I started breaking out since the first week. I didn’t touch the pimples but today I started to develop more and started popping them. I’m wondering if this could cause an infection? I cleaned the pimples with alcohol.

Answer: Breaking out after augmentation does occur and has been witnessed on the chest area following augmentation. Have not found a reason for this but it is usually self-limiting and should resolve without any major issues. Pimples should be dealt with accordingly and if any become really large with surrounding erythema and swelling, you should see your surgeon for consideration of antibiotics. Your incisions should be well on their way toward healing and unless your skin issue becomes a systemic one, your should be safe from harm with a limited break out. And if you're still concerned, you should ask your surgeon about this and what you can do to help it resolve sooner.
