You should start out with 1cc of juvederm filler or restylane filler and go from there. You do not want to overdo too much filler in the lips. It also depends on the look you are going for too. You can always add more filler to the lips if needed. Just remember if you are going to do your lips and you do not want to bruise you should not take any aspirins or anything that will thin the blood since brusing can occur. One syringe is typically $500.
The normal ratio between lips is 2/3 on the bottom and 1/3 on the top, in terms of how the volume is distributed. Dermal fillers are great at addressing lip deficiency and making things look more beautiful. Find an experienced injector for best results. You should also prepare yourself to minimize bruising and swelling by following the tips in the video link below.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
Thank you for your question. It is a common anatomy for many to have their bottom lip larger then their top lip. To change to appearance of the lips to achieve a certain desired result hyaluronic acid injectable fillers are a popular option. I would recommend an in person consultation with an experienced injector. Best wishes.
this is your genetics! if you want this improved there are many cosmetic treatments such as fillers, fat injections, and implants. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. In the majority of patients their lower lip is naturally larger than their top lip and patients can choose to augment one, or both, through the use of a hyaluronic acid dermal filler such as Juvederm. See an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to have the best recomendations made.
Thank you for your question. However, lip augmentation with a hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvederm can help add volume to your lip. Thus, allowing more of the red portion of your lip to remain visible. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to determine the best treatment plan for you.
The normal anatomy is for the lower lip to be bigger than the upper by a ratio of 1:1.61. The lower lip should not project more than the upper and it appears to be doing that. Placing filler in the lips can help with restoring the anatomy to normal proportions in most cases.
Thanks for sharing your question. I can appreciate your concern. The normal proportions of the upper and lower lips are 40% top and 60% bottom. When undergoing lip enhancement, this proportions should remain to keep the normal proportions. Finally, make sure that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Wishing you the best in your journey
Thank you for your question. Sorry that you are having some concerns about the appearance of your lips. It is difficult to comment without seeing a photograph. In general, a conservative lip augmentation with a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler such as Juvederm is an excellent option for improving the size and shape of the lips. Beautiful and natural results can be achieved. Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your concerns and your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Many patients seek lip augmentation procedures to correct lip asymmetry. If your lips are asymmetric from lip injections then I would recommend you consult a board certified dermatologist with experience to correct the asymmetry. These lip injections are an art as well as a science. Best, Dr. Green
Thank you for the question and photo! Your lips are already beautiful but if you desire more fullness then fat transfer is a great option for you. Fat transfer to the face is very appealing to many patients because it requires only one quick procedure that lasts a long period of time....
Lip fillers can be used to define the border of the lips. I would recommend asking for a hyaluronic acid based filler such as juvederm to create natural results that can easily be dissolved if you do not like the results. This type of filler will be temporary so it gives you the opportunity to...
Hi miss_london_1988 , You are a good candidate for lip augmentation. Filler does not always need to be placed in both the upper and lower lip simultaneously. In your case you have a relatively full lower lip and a very thin upper lip. I would recommend starting with filler in...
