I am researching non-surgical "lift" procedures as I'm not a good candidate for surgery (I cannot have epinephrine). I too old for Ultherapy? The best reviews are mostly from women in their 30s and 40s. I'm 57 and untanned, but am mostly Celtic/Scandinavian and have thin skin. Second, how can I find a doctor who specializes in this procedure, and has more experience? I've been told to look for doctors who attend Ultherapy Advanced Users meetings.
Answer: Ultherapy at 57? Older Patients Need More Treatments and/or ThermiTight/Sculptra/Voluma It looks like your skin is fairly lax, so you may be frustrated with just one or two sessions of Ultherapy. I would actually start you with ThermiTight, which is a more invasive procedure, but can tighten the skin more significantly. A small probe is inserted under the skin to deliver radiofrequency energy to the collagen layer to shrink it and stimulate the production of new collagen. As mentioned by my colleagues here, even with stimulation, older skin may not produce much more new collagen or elastin. Therefore, I would also recommend replacing some of the lost volume with Sculptra and Voluma, for a liquid facelift. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in creating nonsurgical facelifts to help you choose the best treatments.

Answer: Ultherapy for facial rejuvenation Obviously, the younger the tissues are, the better the results, but that doesn't mean you won't see an improvement. Some of this is largely based on genetics, and some of my best responders have been older. However, as a general trend you might need more frequent treatments to maintain your improvement.

Answer: Who Benefits From Ultherapy? Ultherapy works best for those individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity. These are typically patients in their 30s-40s. Older patients may still see benefit, but may require a more extensive treatment. You would need an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine if you are a suitable candidate for the treatment. Certified Ultherapy providers can be found on the Ultherapy website. I would make sure you see before and after pictures of their actual clients and not the stock photos the company provides. Best wishes.

Answer: Ultherapy candidate The best candidates are those with mild to moderate aging. You are in the moderate category so I would defiantly consider ultherapy. As for finding doctors with advanced training, I would ask any providers you find if they regularly under training- this is something we do regularly in our office. Also review your providers before and after pictures of patients in the same age group and skin type to see what expected results can be

Answer: Ultherapy? Ultherapy is an FDA approved, effective soft tissue tightener that works best in patients in their 40's and 50's. It is not a facelift, is not a replacement for a facelift, and will not give results which approximate a facelift. For patients like you, the main discussion I have about Ultherapy relates to expectations. I have had patients in your age group have great satisfaction, and others disappointed primarily related what they believed Ultherapy could do.
