Depending on the depth, sometimes we can see these raised like bumps on the skin after an Ulthera treatment. They usually resolve in a few hours sometimes lasting a few days. Best of luck!
When Ulthera's ultrasound energy is delivered into the most superficial part of the skin, it is very normal that some "bumps" or "welts" appear afterwards. The good news is that they usually resolve within several hours, although they can sometimes take a few days to completely go away. The other good news is that energy into this level of the skin creates beautiful results! You can definitely hold cold cloths to your face, but I would not apply ice. You can also apply a thin layer of honey, let it sit on your skin for 10-15 mins and then wash off. Honey can be very calming to any irritated skin. Be sure to use a good sunscreen and reapply frequently.Best of luck to you.
If a more superficial treatment tip was used you can get superficial swelling as in your photo. This will resolve if a few days without treatment.
